“El Barça”: 16 consecutive seasons with 100+ goals!
After scoring 6 in the last round of La Liga vs Real Sociedad (6:1), the number of FC Barcelona goals scored in all competitions of this season reached the mark of 100.
This means that Barcelona have scored three-digit number goals for 16 seasons in a row. An unprecedented achievement for the world football!
The last time when Barça were under 100 was in 2004-05 when they netted “only” 86 goals. And this was, by the way, the club’s last season without Messi as a regular player (in that season he was yet a reserve).
But as soon as Messi began to play (and score) regularly, the club took the 100+ bar and has not lowered it ever since. The colossal influence of a single footballer! The 2011-12 season was especially impressive: the number of goals reached a cosmic value of 190.
Of the 2,291 goals scored by the team in these 16 seasons, Messi accounted for 662. That's 29 percent of the total.
