*Cristiano Ronaldo produced another set of records the most important of which is the all-time World record on international goals. With a brace in the game vs France, he reached Ali Daei (Iran). Both have 109 goals.
*Cristiano Ronaldo beat the Harry Kane’s record on goal-scoring series in the games of European Championships (including qualification): he scored in 9 consecutive games (6 last qualifiers and 3 first games of Euro 2020 final tournament).
*Cristiano Ronaldo beat the one-edition goal-scoring record (including qualification): he has now 16 goals in Euro 2020 campaign (11 in qualifiers and 5 in the games of final tournament): one goal more than Davor Suker (Croatia) scored at Euro 1996 edition.
*Cristiano Ronaldo pushed his record on goals scored in Euro finals to 14, now with 5-goal gap from 2nd placed Michel Platini.
*Cristiano Ronaldo became the solitary record holder on combined goals scored in World Cup and European Championship (21); the previous holder Miroslav Klose has 19 goals.
*Cristiano Ronaldo is now the solitary record holder on games played in Euro (including qualification): 59. The surpassed Gigi Buffon (58).
*Cristiano Ronaldo scored 7 goals of his 14 at Euros by the right foot: he beat the record of Zlatan Ibrahimovic who has 6 such goals.
*Cristiano Ronaldo finished the group stage of Euro 2020 with 5 goals: only Michel Platini (7 in 1984) has ever scored more in a single group round.
*Cristiano Ronaldo became the 5th player in the history of Euro finals to score in each game of a single group round, after Michel Platini (1984), Savo Milosevic (2000), Milan Baros (2004) and Gareth Bale (2016).
*Cristiano Ronaldo y Pepe (Portugal) have played for 17th time together in Euro finals. They beat the record established by Spanish pair Cesc Fabregas and Andres Iniesta (16 games together) in Euro 2016.
*Spain's 5-0 win over Slovakia is the joint-largest margin of victory by any side in a Euro finals match, marking the fifth five-goal victory in the history of competition. The previous such games: France – Belgium (5-0 in 1984), Denmark – Yugoslavia (5-0 in 1984), Netherlands – Yugoslavia (6-1 in 2000), Sweden – Bulgaria (5-0 in 2004).
*Ferran Torres (Spain) goal vs Slovakia is the fastest scored by a substitute in a Euro match (44 seconds) since his compatriot Juan Carlos Valerón’s goal at Euro 2004 scored 39 seconds after coming on against Russia.
*Ferrán Torres’s goal also is the 6th in Euro history scored by backheel, after ones of Milosevic (2000), Ibrahimovic (2004), Welbeck (2012), Kalinic (2016) y Cristiano Ronaldo (2016).
*With Morata missing penalty vs Slovakia, Spain equalled the negative record of Netherlands: 2 penalties missed in a single Euro edition (not counting shootouts). Netherlands did it in 2000 (both penalties were missed in same game vs Italy).
*Spain increased to 7 the number of their missed penalties in the Euro finals overall. No other team missed more than two attempts!
*Emil Forsberg (Sweden) scored vs Poland the second-fastest goal in Euro history: 1 minute 21 seconds. The record still belongs to Dmitry Kirichenko (Russia): 1 minute 8 seconds vs Greece in 2004.
*Robert Lewandowski became the 4th player in Euro history to score a brace in a game lost by his side (2-3 vs Sweden), after Heutte (France, 1960), Jordao (Portugal, 1984) and Bendtner (Denmark, 2012).
*Slovakia, scoring two own goals vs Spain (Martin Dubravka and Juraj Kucka), equalled the negative record of Euro finals set by Portugal few days ago vs Germany.
*Martin Dubravka is already 3rd goal-keeper to score own goal in this Euro (there weren’t such goal-keepers for the whole Euro history before!)
*The negative record on own goals scored in a single Euro edition continues to grow: already 8 (the previous record was just 3 own goals!)
*Marek Hamšík has played all games of his team (Slovakia) in the European championships (including qualification and final tournaments) since 2008. The game vs Spain was his 43th consecutive. This is longest such series in the history of the competition. It can be increased in the next edition of Euro if Hamšík goes on playing for his national team.
*Karim Benzema scored his two goals in the same minute, one in the first half (45 + 1'44 = 46'44) and one in the second half (46'44) !
*The game Portugal – France game (2-2), refereed by Mateu Lahoz (Spain), became the first ever in the history of the Euro finals with 3 penalties (all were scored).
*France have finished 1st of their group in all 4 major tournaments (World Cups 2014, 2018, Euro 2016, 2020) under Didier Deschamps. Les Bleus are the only team to do so over this period.
*The day June 23 saw a total of 18 goals scored in 4 games of Euro; the most on a single day in the history of the competition.
