PRESENTATION
Born in Kuwait City the 28 October 1972, Jassem Mohammad Ibrahim Al-Houwaidi began his youth career with Al Salmiya SC Kuwait City where he played until 1998. He scored there 41 goals in 119 matches, won 2 national Champion titles and one national Cup, becoming international player with his country and playing the Olympic Games 1992 in Spain. His scorer qualities permit him to add 100 international caps and 65 goals with his country. He finished second of the Asian Games and of the Gulf Cup.
1998 was the year of Jassem Al-Houwaidi. The National team of Kuwait took rang 3 in the Arab Cup in Qatar and won the Gulf Cup in Bahrain. Jassem scored the most goals in the tournaments. He was also happy with his club because he won the national title and the national Cup . So he became surprising all great players the Award of THE WORLD’S BEST TOP GOAL SCORER 1998 by IFFHS with 20 goals, 6 goals more than Gabriel Batistuta.
Al-Houwaidi went to Al-Shabab and Al-Hilal one season each, before joining again his youth club Al-Salmiya where he retired in 2010.
